Loop Electronic proudly presents Augenblick, the latest album from New Zealand–based producer Sanoi. Known for his textured approach to sound design, Sanoi steps into a new creative space with this introspective exploration of nostalgia, emotion, and atmosphere.

Designed to be experienced as a continuous listen, Augenblick first arrived as a limited-edition cassette, emphasizing the project’s tactile, narrative character. Across its 19 tracks, Sanoi blurs the boundaries between ambient soundscapes, downtempo grooves, and lo-fi beatwork, creating an experience that feels both cinematic and deeply personal. The highly-anticipated release will be available in two parts, with Side A available to stream and download from December 5, 2025, with Side B coming in early-2026.

Best known for his house and techno productions, Sanoi ventures into new territory here. While his 2025 Loose Change EP focused on DJ-ready dance tracks, Augenblick turns inward - offering reflective compositions that drift between analog warmth and digital experimentation.

“Augenblick was about letting go of structure, about following sound wherever it wanted to go. I wanted to make something that felt nostalgic and human, but still carried the precision and space I love in electronic music.

Becoming a dad kind of blew my whole world wide open in the best way, but it also meant my own creativity had to find new shapes and new windows to breathe. This album became the place where I rediscovered that part of myself, sneaking back into these little pockets of sound and remembering why I fell in love with making music in the first place.” - Sanoi

The result is a genre-blurring, unexpectedly introspective listen, echoing the spirit of mid-1990s Warp releases (Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin) and the late-2000s L.A. beat scene (Brainfeeder, Low End Theory). Moments of stillness and melody weave through intricate rhythmic patterns, nodding to these early influences - reimagined through the perspective of a seasoned dance-music artist - while preserving Sanoi’s unmistakable emotional depth and sonic curiosity.
