Loop are proud to announce that acclaimed New Zealand musicians, composers and producers Rhian Sheehan and Arli Liberman will bring their collaborative album Traces to life for the first time ever, with a special three-show tour this November.

The tour will see the pair perform the album in its entirety at a series of intimate shows in Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch. These shows will see them accompanied by Ed Zuccollo and Riki Pirihi aka Riki Gooch (TrinityRoots, Orchestra Of Spheres) to bring the album to the stage.

This tour marks the long-awaited debut live performance of Traces, an instrumental journey blending electronic, ambient and post-rock soundscapes to create a world unlike anything else — described by filmmaker Sam Kelly as “an ethereal journey through dark and moody worlds.”

For the first time, audiences will be able to experience this collaboration in a live setting. With both artists renowned for their powerful, emotive performances and their ability to craft immersive sound journeys, these shows promise to be as visually striking as they are sonically transporting. Live performances from both Sheehan and Liberman are a rare treat, and this will be only the second-time ever both musicians will be performing together live.

Each show will see Sheehan and Liberman joined by two collaborators on stage to help bring the worlds created in Traces to life. Ed Zuccollo will bring his trademark synth-wizardry to the stage, as he did across a number of tracks on the album. His trademark sound has seen him perform with the likes of Troy Kingi, Kita, The Black Seeds and more, in addition to his own solo work as Zuke. Riki Pirihi aka Riki Gooch is one of NZ’s most celebrated musicians for his work with TrinityRoots, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Cave Circles, and countless others.

The four musicians will combine to perform Traces live, with the second half of the show featuring all four musicians collaborating live on stage with tracks from each artist’s individual catalogues.

These shows will also feature the stunning visuals created for the project by Dunedin-based visual artist Sam Caldwell, which are featured across the album cover and music videos. The Traces live experience will be a richly layered audio and visual feast, unlike anything either artist has performed before..

Audiences are encouraged to secure theirs early — with only three shows nationwide, these performances promise to be rare, unforgettable events. Presented by Loop, thanks to Manuka Phuel.
