Black Comet is the groove-driven collective led by Laughton Kora (Kora, L.A.B, Fly My Pretties). Black Comet has quickly become a standout on the NZ circuit, recently playing Atea Block Party, supporting The Wailers and Devilskin, and landing key festival slots including WOMAD Aotearoa 2025 (two sets), CubaDupa 2025, and Ripe Wānaka Wine & Food Festival.

They released their debut album Episode 1: Looking For a New Planet (Oct 25, 2024) and followed with Episode II: The Force Between Us (2025), continuing to build momentum with new releases and major live opportunities.
