New Zealand musicians, composers and producers Rhian Sheehan & Arli Liberman present the second taste of their collaborative album, the ethereal and emotive ‘Sentio’. The track comes from their album Traces, set for release September 2025.
The track combines the textural atmospheric sounds that have become a hallmark in the composition work from both Sheehan and Liberman with a hypnotically-simple synth bass loop. ‘Sentio’ is one of the more ambient tracks on the album, a track which is essentially a meditation - a sonic blanket of tonal layers and subtle shifts in harmony. Their forthcoming album Traces presents a collection of world-building sounds and experiences, with ‘Sentio’ providing a glimpse into the more meditative and thoughtful side of the project.
As with most of the album, ‘Sentio’ came together quickly in the studio, with the project serving as a creative outlet for two talented composers and musicians. Moog modular synths from Sheehan combine with textural guitar from Liberman to create another otherworldly sound with at once sounds like both artists’ individual voices, but also like nothing else. Set for release later in 2025, Traces stays true to their own sounds, but also creates a truly unique world of electronic, ambient, post-rock and sci-fi sounds.
The single and album arrives alongside a fully-formed suite of artwork and video content, originally created by multimedia artist Sam Caldwell, who’s unique work fits perfectly into the distinctive worlds being created by Rhian Sheehan & Arli Liberman.
