'Tribute' is SUB-TRIBE’s homage to the king of reggae, Bob Marley, which evollved from a ‘tour-van jam’ into the band’s third formally produced single.

The track highlights SUB-TRIBE’s classic combination of easy-access reggae, vintage-style horn lines, electronic bass and beats, rhythmic delays and an alchemical vocal range. It may also be the only tribute to Bob Marley where every lyric is drawn from one of his song titles.

As SUB-TRIBE’s sound continues to evolve and mark new terrain within the roots reggae movement, 'Tribute' remains an homage to one of reggae’s greatest pioneers. It reflects a sentiment that runs strong within the SUB-TRIBE family: honouring the past and their forefathers as they carry their craft forward into the future.
